GT-R 86
Putting a VR38DETT into an 86 is the sort of decision that makes everything else considerably more complicated. HKS pistons and rods, twin GT-RS turbos and MoTeC M1 management are just the beginning. Getting the rest of the car to work around that combination is another matter entirely.
A Quaife sequential gearbox required a custom bellhousing and mainshaft modifications. The driveline, cooling, steering and suspension systems all received extensive attention, much of it involving custom Peak Engineering components. A reinforced chassis, roll cage and hydraulic handbrake add another layer to an already fairly unreasonable undertaking.
